This will be a holiday to remember with many meaningful moments created along the way. Volunteering your time is all part of the fun which makes this holiday even more special. The farm of the Fuchs family will offer many rewarding activities! Assist with many farming tasks from tending to the cattle and their suckler cows during the hay harvest to being part of their floristry classes. A highlight of this experience will be the beautiful flower arrangements that are made in the flower workshops. Inspired by the wonderful nature surrounding the farm, you will help collect and prepare the natural materials, including many flowers and other greenery that will used by the participants. Preparing the course room as well as clearing up afterwards and organising the aperitif for guests will also be part of your responsibilities. Nature is the creative example. Get involved in collecting and designing the natural material, help with the preparation and the cleaning of the course room, and the organisation of the aperitifs. Volunteer work and activities: The tasks on the Appenzell farm are varied and partly dependent on the weather. In the mornings you will help with the animals in the stable, support the family with the harvest in the garden and in the fields. You will also assist with general household and kitchen tasks. The preparation of the floristry courses is also part of the assignment, including planting, harvesting and utilisation of the flowers to purchasing, preparation of information documents and general upkeep of the workshop premises. If you are interested, you may participate and be part of the workshop. Leisure activity: The farm is located directly on the hiking trail “Pfeff ond Lischt”, which not only offers breathtaking views over the whole Appenzell area but also offers a sensory journey through nature. Many more hiking trails can be explored from here. The village of Appenzell with its beautiful village centre offers a lot of culture and tradition, which invites you to linger and stay awhile. You will definitely find suitable activities in Appenzell which will combine nature and culture in an impressive way. The Fuchs family will be happy to help you with your planning.

Take the train from your place of residence to Appenzell. In Appenzell, Sonja Fuchs will be waiting for you at the train station and she will take you to the farm. You can also organize your own journey with your own vehicle. After an exciting and inspiring week you will start your journey home on Friday afternoon with many great memories to treasure forever.
